A summer wedding at Fendley Farmstead in Canton, Georgia
Stuart Boyer met Mary Wandolowski on June 12, 2014, at an Astros Baseball game. Whether it was sheer luck or undeniably fate, one of Stuart’s friends knew one of Mary’s friends, and pretty soon the two found themselves talking at the bar after the game. Even though Stuart’s job had him off shore every two weeks, they finally found a way to make that first date happen.
Four years later, I’m sure neither Mary nor Stuart would have denied that the Astros game was definitely fate as they found themselves walking alongside a lake in Queenstown, New Zealand. When Mary looks back on that night in March of 2018, she remembers that she didn’t notice how unusually quiet Stuart had been. While she was skipping rocks along the lake, he was asking her to come sit with him under a tree; after a few minutes of sitting together, Stuart looked at Mary and asked, “Would this be a good spot to propose?”
And here we are!
The guest list for this wedding included friends and family from London to Wisconsin to Texas, and everyone adored how present the newlyweds were in every moment. It was probably the love between this couple and their friends and family that made their reception so wild.
Lamba Chi Fraternity was definitely present and everyone knew.
Chick-Fil-A Canton showed up to fuel on the good time (shout out to my roots!), and they were joined by two of my favorites: Prestige Catering and Shelley’s Cupcake Cafe (I always try to snag one Oreo and one Reeces cupcake if I have time to hijack two). And don’t even get me started about the bartenders! Dottie with Bailey’s Bartending is the best bartender south of the Mason-Dixon. Homegirl makes a mean Moscow Mule.

The magic of this day would not have been possible without Dena and Charles: Dena is the owner of the venue where Stuart and Mary tied the knot, and Charles coordinates/manages the weddings happening on the grounds of Fendley Farmstead. These to super humans customize everything for their brides and are ready to do anything they need to do in order to make someone’s special day unforgettable.
To top everything off, Brenda’s House of Flowers made the afternoon feel like we were walking through the most beautiful summer daydream.
