A romantic summer engagement session on Lake Lanier.
Last fall, I had the privilege of photographing these to at their engagement session in Dahlonega, Georgia. Then, a few months ago, Lauren reached out to me wanting to do a mini engagement session to snag a few summer portraits for save the dates.
I typically don’t do 30 minute engagement sessions for a few reasons: I recommend two outfits in a one hour session because if you don’t like the way one outfit photographed or coordinated, you have a back-up. Also, throughout your engagement season and wedding planning, you use photos for a variety of things: showers, your wedding website, save the dates, centerpieces, etc. Brining two outfits to your engagement session gives you a ton of variety to work with.
For the guys: I try everything in my power to make your hour engagement session as painless and quick as possible. Most guys don’t love to get their picture taken, and I get it. I’m here to work with you, not against you. Time and time again, I get great feedback from the guys about how they were dreading the shoot, but how it ended up being “not that bad” OR they even ENJOYED it. Yep. They had fun too. And you just made your lady reallyyyyyy happy. It’s a win-win.
Now ladies, with this in mind- this 30 minute engagement session rocked. If you are “maxxinista” or your man absolutely despises photos, we may have just found your solution. Most of my sweetheart/anniversary sessions are only 30 minutes- it’s enough time for just a handful of great portraits.
Anyways, i’m going to stop rambling now– you’ve got to check out this session!!
Photographed with a Canon 5D Mark iii, Canon 50mm f/1.2, Canon 35mm f/2.8, and a reflector.
